The children in Senior Infants have spent time learning about water and floating and sinking. They predicted if items would float or sink and then we carried out an experiment to see if the children’s predictions were correct.
The children then designed and made their own boats using playdough.
They tested to see if their boats would float or sink. The results were interesting. Depending on how they designed their boat and how they shaped the playdough, some actually floated!
