Our Fantastic February
We had a very busy February here in Junior Infants. We started the month with our grandparents afternoon tea to celebrate our grandparents. We had a short prayer service where we showed our morning and evening prayer that we have been learning and also our song that we had been practicing for weeks! We also had lots of tea, juice and yummy treats with our grandparents or parents. It was a very wholesome and cup filling afternoon filled with lots of joy and memories for life!
It was also Valentines day and to mark the special occasion we had a valentines day scavenger hunt! We made our maps for the scavenger hunt throughout the week and put dots on where the pictures are that we had to find. The children completed the hunt in pairs and were fantastic!
Finally, it was friendship week and there was lots and lots of friend related activities going on throughout the week. We read a book about what good friendships are made of and had a discussion after on what we thought of the book. We also read ‘The Rainbow Fish’ book and even made our own rainbow fish using tinfoil as the shiny scales. This is just some of the many kindness and friendship related activities we finished this week!
It really was a fun filled February! I wonder what magic March will bring?
