During the month of May, Junior Infants learned all about the life cycle of the sunflower, from seed to shoot to flower. We learned that seeds need sunlight, soil and water in order to germinate and grow. We each planted a sunflower seed and took care of them until we started to see some green pushing up through the soil! We will continue to look after our seedlings at home and hopefully we will have some beautiful sunflowers in our gardens over the Summer months! We made some paintings of summer flowers too. As May was the month of Mary, the boys and girls also made sure that we always had beautiful wildflowers at our Sacred Space.
