National Scoot To School week was March 27th – 31st. Children in Dangan NS took part in ‘Scoot To School Day’ on Thursday, March 30th. We had a great day as 82 students brought their scooters to school for our ‘Scoot To School Day’ event.
The Green School Committee designed a scooter obstacle course on the tarmac and they kept skill development and safety in mind. They wanted to make sure it was fun, creative, safe and accessible to all kids with scooters.
For children without scooters, they took part in a ‘Recycle Relay Race’. The Green School Committee has been making an effort to teach their classmates how to look out for recycle signs on food packaging. By taking time to do this, they hope to teach their classmates more about which packages can and cannot be recycled. They have done amazing work in the last couple of weeks and should be very proud of themselves.
